my first post for 2007.
i know, its late, ive been busy with work, my travels, preparation for weddings, debuts, baptisms of relatives and friends. i sent over 70 postcards and 14 packages last month, i do hope the philippine/austrian/american/australian post system would cooperate this time, so yeah, i pretty much scattered my DNA all over the world.
New York was fun, Ahlem and Marissa had their minds focused on shopping and so I had to squeeze the Met and Guggenheim on my last day. There are so many things i want to say about the trip, i feel blank it right now though.. maybe because of guilt for breaking someones heart, I still feel so bad about it, but I had no choice. I’m really sorry.
Odi, my dear friend from Elementary (SPED) showed us around New York and New Jerseys Outlet stores (I am officialy broke now by the way). You know what happened with us while we were in Times Square? Ahlem fell in love with the MTV Store, and while we were there a girl approached me and asked if we had time to watch a live show, and of course, dear old broke me asked if its for free,(it was!) nyehehe. So there we were, standing in line with about 20 teen-agers or so, I was the oldest of course. Anyways, we were stripped off our cameras, gums (yes! Like it was a lethal weapon or something) and jackets. Next thing we know we were inside the TRL studios. When the teen-agers screamed, I screamed with them, I had no idea who Vanessa and Damien are by the way, I still don’t (I’ll google them later) so guys, if you have a copy of the TRL American Episode of the 22nd of January send it to me nyehehe. Oh yeah, we got freebies as well, key chains and shirts.. well, the shirts were size small so..
About my trip back home… i had the time of my life, bitin nanaman. I’d never get enough of the Philippines, i saw Palawan with Mhiles, Basuso, dear Uncle Uppit and Jun for the first time and it was great. We’ll definitely go back.. right ate Con?? That bus ride we had was indeed a trip back to memory lane, we aged well don’t you think? Like good wine (haha) I can’t believe I’m 24!! Jason, my golly, my dear cousin who is 20 is getting married! And so is Banban who is 19!! Wow. It took some time to digest all the changes that happened. Vacation in the Philippines wouldn’t be the same without the usual headaches though, I need a vacation from my vacation…. By the way, I’ve finally decided to accept the job offer and fly home this July for 6 months. My parents weren’t happy about it at first, but after thinking it thru, they agreed (actually, they’re secretly hoping that I would meet a nice fine Igoy man and settle down… I’ve checked, my mom called 4 of her friends and asked them to ‘watch’ after me.. meaning ‘find’ someone for her, bahhh) Oh wait, thats nothing though compared to my sister.. My dear older sister watched Toni and Sams You are the One 2 months ago, well, she watched it over and over again and now she hopes I’d have the same love story…. Uhh right, like I’d meet him over the check-in counter, while he screams at me because his flight is delayed/cancelled, or even better, he’d be super duper nice so I’d waive his excess luggage.
I still feel bad about ehem, he’s now doing his MBA in another country, last thing I heard he’s living with the gf/fiancé… but hey, at least he kept his promise, and I’ll keep mine.
at least until July tee hee

23rd of September 2006: My parents 30th Wedding Anniversary, Diego Aurels Baptism (thanks Ate Con for the awesome layout! - my golly! everybody loved it!)
And so, we did it, LJ and I sang "The last night of the world" during dinner, no one threw up their dinner, so i guess they pretty much liked it. LJ was great, i messed up (like thats new). We had a lot of hoppalahs during the program, but what the heck, everyone had a great time... minus Jenny i guess, she wanted more tequila.
I've got great friends.. Paul and Eric woke up at 6 am in the morning just to help us, Stephi and her bf, came all the way from Burgenland just to help me with the make-up....
will post pictures of course..

addicted. yes, why thank you very much dear future sister in law, i am now officialy hooked to sappy korean series.
***********************
for 7 days straight i'll be working from 5 am to 3 pm. almost all flights are overbooked and we've got 2 Fockers (which means f*cker in dutch by the way hehe - accdg to my boss) a day. great huh? Sharon Stone by the way brought 27 (!) bags and paid nothing for excess baggage! Right, so if you don't want to pay for excess kilos on your next flight, buy a white sleeveless turtleneck dress and don't wear any undies underneath it... then start crossing your legs :)
kidding there. I NEED TO SLEEP!

dear manong, brother of mine,
Though you never admitted it, you were the one who taught me how to dance the waltz, while i counted the steps, you knew them by heart.
You were the one with the ‘cool’ friends and often brought me as a tag a long (even if you didn’t really like to). Then you introduced me to him, and we clicked, or so we thought, but of course we should’ve listened to you big bro, LDRs never work. (By the way, you made life miserable for him for awhile, and I love you for thatJ)
But hey, why am I writing this? To say thank you for the 5 star hotel accommodations you gave? To say merci for defending me every time manang switched to her diva mood again? To say danke for the much needed pasaload in the middle of the sagada wilderness?
Happy birthday Manong! Wuv you!
